My coversion story

I have heard about Christ since i was in secondary school. A friend of mine invited me to church and bible study. In the past, i did not understand much about christianity. Furthermore, my family members are mainly believers of Taoism, so they strongly opposed to me knowing God more. However, i still went secretly to Church to learn more about God's word. I believe this is the hand of God, helping me to know Him more. As the years passed, i stopped attending bible study. Thought i hardly read the bible, i continued praying. I recalled a particular night when i found myself unable to move after waking up from my sleep. Out of great fear, i tried to pray and ask the Lord for help, but no answer. From that day on, i could no longer trust the Lord as before.

Not long after, many unhappy incidents started to take place at home. I could not do anythong to help the sistuation, so i turned to the Lord once again for His help. In my despair and helplessness, i knew only God could help me to deal and face the sistuation. At the end, i still chose to run away from all this by going to Singapore to work on my own.

In June 2002, i was retrenched. Yet within a short span of two weeks, i found a new job exactly on my birthday. I truly thank God for this is the best and most wonderful gift i had received from Him for my birthday.

One day after work, i decided to hang out by myself to clear some of my thoughts. To my surprise, two people sat down next to me and asked me if i had time to help them with a survey. I agreed. When we came to the end of the survey, they asked me if i know God and whether i wouldlike to receive Him as my Lord and saviour. I decided to accept Christ without any hesitation because i knew that this is the decision God wants me to make. Ever since then, the Lord has always been my pillow of help and strength in all circumstances in life. I thank God for helping me to know Him and for giving me a purpose in life.
